A flue extension is a chimney flue pipe that has been extended. Flues are pipes that carry stove or furnace exhaust outside of the structure. A fire's hazardous gases, smoke, and soot escape down the flue. A flue expansion can frequently increase the draft of an existing flue pipe. It could be constructed out of clay tiles, tin, or galvanized metal.
Better drafts are produced by a taller chimney. Unfortunately, it is rare to find chimneys and flues that are designed to the right size and height to create adequate airflow. A flue extension may be required to move the top of the flue into a fresh air flow and reestablish the chimney's correct draft.

Installs on chimney where no flue is extending or flue is too short; Tapcon screws are included.
