A flue extension refers to an enlarged flue pipe in a chimney. Flues are pipes that carry exhaust from a stove or furnace outside the structure. Through the flue, toxic gases, smoke, and soot escape from a fire. An existing flue pipe's draft can often be increased by using a flue extension. It could be made of clay tiles, tin, or galvanized metal.
A taller chimney produces better drafts. Unfortunately, it is uncommon to find chimneys and flues built with the proper size and height to produce enough airflow. To lift the top of the flue into a fresh air flow and reestablish the chimney's proper draft, a flue extension may be necessary.

Installs on chimney where no flue is extending or flue is too short; Tapcon screws are included.
