At 30" long, this is the largest version of our single-line underwater manifold. Each unit creates bubbles of gas (or propane) that float to the surface for the automatic electronic valve and ignition system to ignite, creating a long, thin, wall of flame. Thanks to its low-pressure delivery system, linear shape, and high reliability, it is ideal for pairing with other fire-on-water units to create shapes of flames over the water.

Water is kept out of the gas line by a one-two punch of gas pressure and a specially-designed check valve that will keep fluid from flooding the pipe. The sealed stainless steel construction is rated for both saltwater and freshwater bodies of water.

The whole thing is powered by an electronic ignition system that controls the flow of fuel to the components. Just connect to the fuel line and a 24 volt AC power source (like a pool timer, or a 110~120 volt AC home source with a 24 volt transformer, not included), and as soon as it gets power it will turn on the gas and light it automatically. Even if the wind blows it out, the on-board sensor will detect the flame and try to light it again. If the gas is turned off or the power goes out, the system will power down until it has access to both fuel sources.

There are two types of electronic ignition for you to choose from: A SUBmersible Electronic Ignition System (SUBEIS) that mounts right to the manifold and sets in the water, and an Automated Fire On Water (AFOW) ignition that sets outside of the feature up to twenty feet (20') away for easier access and maintenance.

It uses your choice of natural gas or liquid propane fuel.

Benefits and features:

  • 30" long burner produces a narrow, linear flame
  • Use multiple units of differing sizes to create shapes of flame in the water
  • Stainless steel design is rated for both freshwater and saltwater environments
  • Comes in your choice of propane or gas fuel
  • Only requires 0.5 PSI to operate (at recommended depth)
  • Electronic ignition system controls pilot light and gas flow
  • AFOW system comes with up to 20' of line for the installation
  • Shuts off gas if the power goes out
  • Re-lights the fire if the wind blows it out

How does it work?

When the gas is turned on, the ring will release jets of gas.

Once the electronic ignition system is turned on (SUBEIS shown), the gas will flow through the manifold, out of the water, and into the air.

After a few moments, the electronic ignition will turn on, igniting the gas.

After a few moments, the pilot light will turn on, igniting the gas that is escaping over the water.

Once the flames are lit, they will stay lit as long as the gas continues to feed through burner.

The result is that the flame will hover over the water, stopping at the waterline, keeping the manifold and electronics protected from the heat.

What ignition system should I choose?

There are two different ignition systems that you can choose to start the gas on your submersible manifold. While the two systems operate identically for the most part, they install quite differently.

The SUBmersible Electronic Ignition System (SUBEIS) has a sealed electronic valve system that is designed to be submerged in the water. The manifold attaches directly to the SUBEIS.

Pro:

  • Easy to install

Con:

  • Difficult to access for maintenance

SUBEIS

SUBEIS systems are submersible under the water

The Automated Fire On Water (AFOW) ignition system is not sealed and must be installed outside of the water feature. The pilot igniter's wire and gas line can be ordered up to 20 feet long.

Pro:

  • Easy access for maintenance

Con:

  • Relatively difficult installation

How deep underwater does the manifold have to be?

It's recommended that you install it 1/2" to 2" below the surface of the water. The closer you install the manifold to the surface of the water, the better the performance you will get.

Can I burn the manifold outside of water?

Do not run manifold without it being submersed in water! The heat could damage the check valve and electronics.

How much pressure do I need?

These products require minimum 0.5 psi to operate. If you install the manifold deeper than recommended you may need a higher pressure line. You will need to get a high pressure regulator installed to the fire feature with a pressure regulated spring rated at 3 - 6 PSI. For natural gas installation you require a high output meter, usually supplied by your gas provider at no cost to you. For propane installation you will need a high output regulator, usually supplied by your gas provider. It has to be rated for at least 3 PSI and up.

Won't water get in when I'm not using it?

All manifolds are shipped with a check valve that prevents backwash.

What's it made out of?

The manifold is made out of 316 stainless steel, and is rated to resist saltwater and corrosion.

How do I light it?

These features require the use an AFOW or SUBEIS electronic ignition to light. These systems act as both the gas valve and the ignition, and are perfect for manifolds that are mounted in the middle of large bodies of water. ALWAYS STAND UPWIND WHEN LIGHTING ANY FIRE FEATURE!

Where can I mount it?

It is the buyer's responsibility to check local codes, restrictions and enforcement for installations. Units must be installed by a local licensed contractor. CAN NOT BE USED INDOORS!

What if I want something different -- can I take it apart and put it together differently?

NO. The parts are configured, sealed and powder coated in a specific configuration to meet safety standards, but there's good news: Larger sizes and different shapes are available for custom order. Please contact our office at 1-888-986-1535 if you need something special.

There is a one year warranty on the stainless steel material. The replacement tips have a 3 month warranty and can be ordered at any time. With proper maintenance, the tips should last for up to 2 years, depending on the hardness of the water. The system is very durable and is built to last.

Usually ships in 5-10 Business Days.

Due to the custom nature of this product, it is not returnable.

Log Mantel
I am REALLY pleased!  The picture of it does not do it justice.  That is the prettiest piece of wood, and a contractor doing some work in my home said that the grain in the edge looks just like Damascus steel.  I do wish the pic could give you a better indication of what I will enjoy for the rest of my life!

All in all very pleased with the mantel and the overall experience. Web site was a little tricky as the only way I found to order was by phone. Have told many others about your products.

Restocking 35%
Make sure you know before buying anything from Fireside Expressions that they will charge you 35% for any returns, even if the box is unopened. They don't have to do a lot of sales, they meet their targeted revenue from restocking fees. FIRESIDEXPRESSIONS ANSWER: Dear Ms. Lynch, Firesidexpressions does not charge restocking fees to make money. Restocking fees are charged by manufacturers and vendors to cover the costs of re-entering items into inventory, inspecting the items and re-boxing them in new boxes and filing the paperwork. We also must pay the re-stocking fees if we don’t normally stock items. By the way, I know that the BBB did pass along our offer to share the restocking fees and lower your rate to 25%. They told us that you did not think that was good enough.
