A flue extension is the term used to describe a chimney's extended flue pipe. Flues are conduits that lead from a furnace or stove outside the building. The flue is where toxic gases, smoke, and soot leave a fire. A flue extension can typically be used to improve the draft of an existing flue pipe. Tin, galvanized metal, or clay tiles may be used to build it.
A taller chimney produces better drafts. Sadly, it is uncommon to find chimneys and flues built to the proper dimensions and heights to produce an appropriate airflow. A flue extension could be required to raise the top of the flue into a fresh air flow and regain the chimney's correct draft.

Installs on chimney where no flue is extending or flue is too short; Tapcon screws are included.
