A woodstove without a thermometer is like a car without a speedometer. Informed operation of your stove’s controls shows you when the fire consumes wood too fast, exceeding the stove’s efficient operation zone. It’s impossible to know accurately, by looking at the burning flames, the temperature of your stove and flue. This thermometer enables you to avoid burning too hot, so you can prevent damage to your stove. An under-fired woodstove is smoky, causing hazardous creosote and tar to form in the stove pipe. What's the difference between these thermometers?

Magnetic Thermometers - The best choice for single-wall stove pipe since no installation holes or probes are required. Takes accurate readings of a pipe at surface temperature only.

Probe Thermometers - The best choice for double-wall or insulated stove pipe. They will insert into a small hole in your stovepipe. Long-stemmed probes give you the most precise and immediate temperature readings from inside the stove pipe.

In today’s world of internet buying across hundreds and/or thousands of miles it is the customer who is at risk as they are purchasing product site unseen. Knowing CJ’s Home Decor & Fireplaces stood behind their customer says a lot about its service and its employees.

FEEDBACK REMOVED!
I left feedback ONLY yesterday and see that it has been removed. I guess this company has no explanation as to how they determine pricing and shipping cost. I see that others have left negative feedback and CJ Hearth & Home had chosen to respond. In this case, CJ Hearth chose not to respond to my pricing inquiries and their returns policy.

Fire pit has small flame
When I put my fire pit glass on top of the orafice, it seems like the glass is covering the hole/ports and the fire is very sporadic which is limiting the heat from the pit. Any suggestions on what I can do?
