These 5/8" wide X 1/8" thick gaskets are the perfect size for wrapping the edges of replacement glass in your stove, fireplace, or insert. Made from premium fiberglass and available as traditional white, or graphite impregnated black, custom cut to your desired length. When used with A.W. Perkins® 2000° F cement, they make a perfect seal every time and can stand up to even the most punishing heat. If you need a lower temperature sealant that will allow you to more easily replace the gasket in the future, our Stove Bright® 900° F sealant is another popular choice.
Flat gasket is available in 5/8" width x 1/8" thick in traditional white or black graphite weave.
A fiberglass door gasket must stand up to the heat of a wood, coal, or pellet stove. Normally these round or rope gaskets are used to seal the area between the stove door and the stove body. The temperatures here can reach over 1800° F, so its no secret that the replacement gasket must be rugged. We use only the highest quality graphite impregnated fiberglass for our stove gaskets to match (or exceed) the OEM specs. Because of the graphite, they resist sticking, last longer, and look great. All diameters are available in any length you desire. When used with A.W. Perkins® 2000° F cement, they make a perfect seal every time. The 900°F Stove Bright® sealant is not recommended for stove doors, however our customers often pick up a tube to seal up their chimney and venting.
Rope gasket is available in 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", and 1" diameters in black graphite weave.
Tadpole gasket is designed to work in areas where normal gasket won't. The "tail" of the tadpole is backed with an adhesive that lets you stick it to a surface for temporary mounting, and acts as a convenient area to attach with screws or other permanent hardware. The soft core variety is extremely malleable and will fit in a number of sized areas, while the foil-wrapped core variety allows you to shape the gasket to an odd angle or shape as needed.
Tadpole gasket is available in 1/2", 5/8" sizes with a foil core, and 5/8" with a soft core, all with a black graphite weave.
A griddle gasket is an extra heavy duty rope gasket for stoves. They are made with graphite impregnated fiberglass just like our other round stove gaskets. The difference however is that replacement griddle gaskets are shrouded in a steel mesh that protects against abrasions, cuts, or other wear & tear. These gaskets are intended to sit underneath the cooking griddle on many Vermont Casting® stoves, however they work great in any application where you need a extra-durable fiberglass gasket. Due to the extreme heat generated from a griddle, we recommend using only the A.W. Perkins® 2000° F cement for this style of gasket.
Steel shrouded griddle gasket is available in 5/16" diameter in black graphite weave.
New gaskets are often higher quality and used as an air-tight replacement in your fireplace, stove, or insert. Old gaskets may be lower quality - quickly becoming frayed, failing, or just too crusty for safe operation. Our graphite fiberglass gaskets are a perfect fit every time, manufactured with a textured weave, and are top notch when it comes to standing up to punishing environments over time. Unlike normal white fiberglass, graphite impregnated gaskets resist sticking, reduce creosote, make a better seal, and last much longer. Overall, they increase your appliance's seal efficiency -- and look great!
There are many wood stove cements out there to choose from, however none are as high quality as the 2000° F high temp cement by A.W. Perkins®. This black cement mortar makes a hardened bond that will stand up to years of heat in your door or window application. Although very rigid, under normal operation this cement will not crack, chip, or flake. This cement is the recommended choice for gasket installation or bonding. Approximate coverage for these cements varies, and we cannot guarantee coverage, but a general estimate is 1 oz of cement for every 1.5 feet of gasket. Please order extra for larger gaskets.
We also sell a 2oz. bottle of clear stove gasket adhesive for wood, pellet, and coal stove doors. It has a liquid consistency (much like Super Glue™) but is made from sodium silicate with a temperature resistance of up to 2000º F. It adheres with less volume than cement, but can also etch into glass if you're not careful. It goes on light, and a single bottle can usually cover the gasket surrounding most small-to-medium stoves and inserts. It's designed for horizontal mounting (laying the door flat), so if you need to mount it vertically, you'll have to mix it with some of the high temp cement.
When it comes to sealing lower temperature areas, the 900° F red silicon sealant by Stove Bright® is an excellent choice. It stays flexible under operation and is easy to remove for maintenance, cleaning, or replacement. Although it's generally not recommended to use with most stove gaskets, the sealant works great for sealing chimney, intakes, and more, making it a perfect companion for the higher temperature gasket cement.

I went by the description they had but apparently it was not the actual size of the product but the size of the fireplace. No where on the website do they have the diameters of the actual product. After getting the product I noticed it was the wrong size and tried returning it. They want 20% restocking and I pay for shipping due to the terms but in the terms and condition it also States you'll get a courtesy email to make sure you purchase the right product before it ship. Well after I said that they stop emailing me. CJs Hearth & Home Team The description on the web site said that it was a screen for a direct vent fireplace. After seeing a picture of your fireplace it was clear that you have a vent free fireplace not a direct vent. A direct vent fireplace has a sealed piece of glass on the front of the fireplace. This screen is made only for the Monessen models listed in the ...
