A chimney spark arrestor collects sparks and other potentially harmful components produced by open fires or wood burners. Sparks must be quenched to prevent fires from igniting under trees, on rooftops, or on combustibles on the ground.
It has a strong metal top and two mesh layers on the sides. They stand out from other hats due to the mesh and provide weather and wildlife protection. A chimney pot or flue must be installed.
With only a screwdriver, the Chim-A-Lator line of spark arrestors can be easily mounted on top of a masonry fireplace. They save time and money, are made of stainless steel, are available in over 50 standard sizes, and feature a powder-coated black galvanized metal exterior.
