Your guests will wonder, but the truth is only for you to know: Twin inline 3' linear burners use pressurized gas (or propane) to produce bubbles that float to the surface, where the electronically-controlled pilot light ignites them into a full wall of flame. Rated for both freshwater and saltwater, and designed for reliability. Water is kept from entering ...
Imagine a four foot long solid wall of flame hovering over a pool of water. Now stop imagining, and start installing! Twin inline burners submerge in a reflecting pool, linear fountain, or water basin to create a new take on the traditional fire pit. When the electronic valve system is turned on, the jet ports begin to produce bubbles which float to the top where the automatic pilot light (the only part that sits above the water) activates, lighting the fuel. This creates two lines of fire that merge into a single, flowing flame over the lightly churning surface. Rated for both freshwater and saltwater, ...
Why settle for just a regular ho-hum fountain? Add some fire to the mix, thanks to this backyard special effect. Mounting this burner line under the water produces bubbles of gas (or propane) which float to the surface. An automatic electronic pilot light then ignites the fuel, producing a thin wall of flame. It's perfect for small ponds, fountains, and linear or oval concrete water bowls. Don't worry about water getting into your gas line, either: Each manifold comes with a check valve that prevents water and backwash from getting into the pipe, only opening when the gas is turned on and ...

At 30" long, this is the largest version of our single-line underwater manifold. Each unit creates bubbles of gas (or propane) that float to the surface for the automatic electronic valve and ignition system to ignite, creating a long, thin, wall of flame. Thanks to its low-pressure delivery system, linear shape, and high reliability, it is ideal for pairing with other fire-on-water units to create shapes of flames over the water. Water is kept out of the gas line by a one-two punch of gas pressure and a specially-designed check valve that will keep fluid from flooding the pipe. The sealed ...

Wire on water is a special effect designed for outdoor spaces. There are a few variations on this effect, but it usually consists of a flame burning on top of a body of water as if by magic.
Please note that there are also "fire and water" features, which often use a spillway to provide water flowing out of a spout that is mounted in a fire feature. These are two distinct products that provide slightly different effects.

How does it work?
When the submerged fire pit manifold is filled with gas, all water is pushed out from the tubing and through the gas jets (or through special tips on older models). What follows is pure gas or propane. Since gas rises, it begins to create flammable bubbles on the surface of the water. When the ignition system is activated, the element turns red hot and these bubbles ignite. This creates a dancing flame in your fire pit, above the surface of the water. A constant supply of bubbles continues to ignite until the gas supply is shut off.
Once the electronic ignition system is turned on (SUBEIS shown), the gas will flow through the manifold, out of the water, and into the air.
After a few moments, the pilot light will turn on, igniting the gas that is escaping over the water.
The result is that the flame will hover over the water, stopping at the waterline, keeping the manifold and electronics protected from the heat.
Do I ever need to clean the fire on water manifold?
It is a good idea to inspect the fire on water pit manifold yearly to look for any damage, corrosion, or clogged jets due to gas residue. This can greatly enhance the reliability and beauty of your fire-on-water feature.
Some models of submersible manifold have metal or plastic vaporizer tips. These designs require higher gas pressure and much more maintenance than the newer models. The tips will break down over time or become damaged if exposed to the air during a burn. If you need replacements for some of these tips give us a call at 1-888-986-1535 -- we'll help you order some replacements or spares to have on hand.
Newer models don't have these tips and require much less maintenance to keep running.

Can I put these in my swimming pool?
It's not recommended, for a number of reasons:
The fire can pose a serious risk to swimmers
Even when not in use, these products have a lot of gas line plumbing that needs to be added under the water which can entangle swimmers
Accidental damage or exposure to the electronics could result in a dangerous electrical shock
A gas leak can be hazardous to human health.
Instead, we recommend installing fire on water manifolds in artificial ponds, decorative reflecting pools, fountains, or inside a scupper bowl (sizes may vary).

Glass had to be resized to meet order once. Customer service was amazing. Unfortunately the glass was not. Even with the resizing and additional information provided the glass failed to meet the specifications required. Although the company was amazing to work with, I will have to go somewhere else with my business.
Make sure you know before buying anything from Fireside Expressions that they will charge you 35% for any returns, even if the box is unopened. They don't have to do a lot of sales, they meet their targeted revenue from restocking fees.
Dear Ms. Lynch, Firesidexpressions does not charge restocking fees to make money. Restocking fees are charged by manufacturers and vendors to cover the costs of re-entering items into inventory, inspecting the items and re-boxing them in new boxes and filing the paperwork. We also must pay the re-stocking fees if we don’t normally stock items. By the way, I know that the BBB did pass along our offer to share the restocking fees and lower your rate to 25%. They told us that you did not think that was good enough.

Replacing the glass was a breeze
This is my first time doing business with FastReplacementglass.com, and I am impressed with their customer care, they actually care!!!!. I have talked to Kimberly in person twice and communicated via email more than a couple of times in regards to getting a replacement glass for my fire-place glass bi-fold doors. Actually the glass procurement was the fast and easy part, and it came fast with accurate dimensions finished with a pencil edge that matched the other glass panels perfectly. The challenge after receiving the replacement glass was to find the proper gasket to replace the old used gaskets. Kimberly is very knowledgeable and has solutions for unique problem jobs like mine turned out to be.
