Tempax is a borosilicate glass similar to Pyrex. The float process used in manufacturing Tempax gives it a more flawless texture and appearance than Pyrex. It is used primarily in gas and propane stoves, and usually arranged in panes or small strips. It has a thermal shock rating of 580° F and crystal clear appearance. This makes it suitable for more than just gas stoves...light fixtures, artistic pieces, and more where the added safety of tempered glass is not necessary or required. However due to it's low mechanical strength, it is not recommended for use in large pieces. When broken, it breaks in straight lines like window glass.
Available in 1", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 7", 8", 9", or 10" widths and heights, in a thickness of 1/8". The color is clear.

We cannot offer replacements unless merchandise has a manufacturing defect or arrives broken due to shipping. Please inspect your glass products carefully before installation. Because each individual sale is a custom order, we do not offer warranties that cover measurement errors or installation errors, such as over-tightened screws or glass that has been forced into a tight mounting surface. If the glass is not visibly defective, was properly installed, but still breaks within the first 30 days, you may qualify for a "good faith" warranty claim and replacement. We will take your word for it, and we will cover 50% of the cost of the new replacement glass (shipping not included). Make sure you know before buying anything from Fireside Expressions that they will charge you 35% for any returns, even if the box is unopened. They don't have to do a lot of sales, they meet their targeted revenue from restocking fees. FIRESIDEXPRESSIONS ANSWER: Dear Ms. Lynch, Firesidexpressions does not charge restocking fees to make money. Restocking fees are charged by manufacturers and vendors to cover the costs of re-entering items into inventory, inspecting the items and re-boxing them in new boxes and filing the paperwork. We also must pay the re-stocking fees if we don’t normally stock items. By the way, I know that the BBB did pass along our offer to share the restocking fees and lower your rate to 25%. They told us that you did not think that was good enough.
